The TP-Link MC111CS is a media converter designed to convert 10/100BASE-TX copper media to 100BASE-FX single-mode fiber or vice versa, extending network distance up to 20 kilometers.

• Standards and Protocols: Complies with IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards.
• Interface: Features one 10/100M RJ45 port with auto MDI/MDIX and one 100M SC/UPC port.
• WDM Wavelength: Operates by transferring data at 1550nm and receiving at 1310nm. The cooperating device at the other end, such as another TP-Link MC112CS, must operate at the reciprocal wavelengths (Tx 1310nm/Rx 1550nm).
• Fiber Type: Designed for use with single-mode fiber cable.
• Distance: Extends fiber optic distance up to 20 km (12.5 miles).
• Duplex Mode: Supports auto-negotiation of half-duplex / full-duplex transfer mode for the RJ45 port.
• Indicators: Equipped with easy-to-view LED indicators (PWR, Link/Act) to monitor network activity.
• Design: Can be used as a standalone device or within a TP-Link 19” system chassis (model MC1400).
